[Like all things that are unusual, fascinating, and potentially a danger to her, Waltaquin is drawn to Nona rather than avoidant of her. Though she doesn't go out of her way, she does drop in on her where they'll some time to themselves, taking advantage of the chill theme of the week's tasks.]

Seen the postcards? Have you written to that friend of yours yet?

[Writing those notes is, on the surface, an exercise in either longing or futility. Not that she hadn't completed it herself, just in case. Perhaps their feelings will be able to reach the ones they left behind after all.]

The Day The Earth Died

[Nona steps into the cold, into the beautiful island, and she can feel her eyes weighing her down like lead. She's going to die soon. At least she had a night surrounded by her dear friends, at home, with Noodle by her side.

She's already written a message for her friends. They'll know once the morning ends.

So she walks to the arcade, the nauseating display of humanity and color and light. She wanted the ocean, but something draws her here anyway.

There's someone here with her. Beyond anything, Nona doesn't want to die alone.]
