[She knows that Vergilius has short patience for her. The last thing Waltaquin wants to do is push him to the point of completely ignoring her.

When she discovers that he wandered back to civilization the other day covered in viscera, she's terrible sorry to have missed it. She also refrains from questioning him, knowing he would find her enthusiasm to be "coming on too strong." She doesn't like restraining herself this much, which is any amount at all, but it'll be worth it to do so.
